Product Description
When you're not at your desk your valuable data and equipment are at risk. It only takes a moment to slip in a disk and download information, or add a crippling virus. With a few moments more, a thief can open the computer casing - exposing your memory, hard drive, and other internal components. Or they may simply pick up the equipment and walk away. Lunch hour or after hours, you need protection. Kensington's line of security products offers the fastest way to safeguard all your data and hardware.Kensington MemoryLock effectively blocks access to the inside of your computer. The hard drive, memory, and all your important information is protected.

5 out of 5 stars Very effective solution   February 16, 2008

We bought a pile of these things because they are cheap and looked solid. Thankfully, they were solid and easy to install, and we secured five computer set-ups in under an hour. Clearly, the locks are not going to be unbreakable, but as a general deterrent to stealing computer hardware, the cables look quite serious. Two warnings:

1. Watch out for the glue. It's like Crazy Glue on steroids and will very happily permanently stick your hand to the floor.

2. Don't lose the keys - the only solutions are (1) bolt-croppers to the cable or (2) damage to the casing of said secured items.
