I purchased this from Amazon a month ago. I connect it to my DishNetwork receiver (VIP 622 DVR) so that I can transfer and store the recorded movies from the DVR. The setup was a snap and I got it working in no time. Both the SD and HD programs plays directly from the hard drive without any problem. Before buying this product I was a bit worried whether the hard drive will go into a sleep mode and will have difficulty activating it from the DishNetwork remote. But it works without any issues. There is probably a delay of about 3 seconds before it comes active if you are using it after a period of long inactivity.

This is an excellent product and what you see is what you get. The advertisement is very self explanatory and works properly. I have it to make back ups from a Mac and a PC and works great for both. It comes with some software that i have not used yet.
Its a very good choice under 1tb, very good price and the best relation ship $-GB been compatible with both platforms.

I'm using this HDD for music, movies, and photos. I'm huge on media so when I saw this HDD for $99 I knew I couldn't go wrong. It's stylish and quiet for it's size. I've had this for almost one month and it hasn't let me down. I keep this bad boy running almost all day and it still hasn't giving me any problems. I did my research before buying this drive, and from what I've learned WD and Seagate are amongst the best external HDD's in the market. The transfer speeds are ok, but tolerable. It is USB after all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I'm so happy w/ the product that I'm buying another one when it drops to $99 again for back up purposes.

Man, this thing is great. I just plugged it into my USB port, plugged it into the wall and it automatically recognized it and we were up and running. I would totally recommend it to anyone who is wanting to make there computer a little faster by transfering or backing up there files.
Not only do I love this product but it got to me in like 3 days. Nice work!!!
