Great Value For Your Money October 3, 2008 Dennis Lind (Austin, TX USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Before I start... and since someone gave this item such a scathing review... which he felt compelled to cut and paste to numerous websites... let me be clear: It is important to fully research any product before you buy it online. Web vendors usually default to the information provided by the manufacturer's marketing department. Caveat emptor. Any time you buy online. If you purchase something blindly, you get what you deserve. Having said that: If you want to fully utilize your HDTV as a monitor for your basic PC operations, this is your product! You will probably have more problems navigating your BOIS than the installation of the board and the driver software. In my situation, I had no problem with my computers BOIS in regard to it's on-board video (HP Pavillion s3100n), but I needed to compensate for my on-board audio defaults. Once I realized what was going on, it was no problem at all. Overall... very painless. My PC video looks AWESOME on my 42" 1080p Toshiba HDTV! If you are on the fence about giving your PC a basic video upgrade... look no further. Buy this card! It's a great value and SO easy to install!
misleading at best April 26, 2008 A. Marquez 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
product is advertised as a HDMI device and even offered with a 6 ft HDMI to HDMI cable as a pair. However when I actually received item it is in fact a DVMI output, not HDMI as advertised. This means you would have to purcahse a DVMI to HDMI cable, rendering the "pair" totally useless and a false advertised statement. Other than that it is exactly as shown and advertised, howevr this "simple" discrepency is enough to cause concern as to sellers integrity and honesty.
