Amazon.com Product Description For the ultimate in wireless freedom, look no further than the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset, which represents a generational leap in Bluetooth headset technology. It's comfortable and light enough for all day wear, and it offers unprecedented clarity and sound quality. These are great features, but the real revolution involves Plantronics' exclusive Multipoint technology, which allows the headset to function as a powerful communication solution for up to two Bluetooth devices. With Multipoint technology you can switch between your voice-enabled Bluetooth mobile phone, PDA or laptop. The headset's "smart" technology knows which device you are using and allows you to take calls from any device at the touch of a button. With the optional Plantronics Bluetooth Deskphone Adapter you can even switch between your office phone and your Bluetooth mobile phone. You'll never need to use a dedicated "landline" phone headset again. The 510 features WindSmart technology, which enhances call clarity in windy environments (i.e., car with window/roof open, air conditioning on, outside with breeze), and it folds for easy storage. The boom also swivels for perfect positioning on either ear. One-touch call control buttons are placed for easy access, and you can easily redial the last number dialed and initiate voice-activated calls from the headset. Because the 510 is Bluetooth-enabled (it supports the Bluetooth 1.2 specification) you can roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth device. Meanwhile, the 510 supports adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) which helps avoid interference from Wi-Fi networks. Ample talk time is provided by the built-in rechargeable battery; you'll get up to 6 hours talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time. Specifications - Talk time: Up to 6 hours
- Standby time: Up to 100 hours
- Bluetooth version: 1.2 (supports headset and handsfree profiles)
- Wearing style: Over-the-ear; boom swivels for wearing on either ear
- Headset controls: Volume, mute, call answer/end, voice-activated dialing (must be supported by your phone)
- Adaptive Frequency Hopping: Yes (helps to avoid interference for co-existence with Wi-Fi/WLAN)
- Supports analog and digital office phones: Yes

Works great; Easy to use November 30, 2008 Kimberly Colburn (Los Angeles, CA United States) Arrived promptly, was easy to set up and use. My only minor complaint is that you have to make sure it is fully plugged in and charging, several times I plugged it in overnight not realizing it wasn't fully connected. Once I figured that out, I haven't had any problems with it--unlike many of my friends and co-workers with their bluetooth headsets.
Good product, too much interference on Bluetooth November 30, 2008 Curt Achberger (Anchorage, AK) I thought I could finally "cut the cord" on my hour long conference calls with this, and it is a good product that works and is relatively easy to setup (compared to other Bluetooth headsets I've had). Unfortunately it has an annoying, slight buzzing noise in the background of calls I make in my office. I believe it's picking up interference from the multitude of other electronics I have setup. It does work well with my cell phone though.
excellent November 29, 2008 S. Kapoor (santa monica california) I had motorola blue tooth hich had problem hearing in windy situation. Now WITH plotronic blue tooth I have no problem.Every body in my office has bought this item.
Simple, easy to operate bluetooth November 29, 2008 G. October (sacramento, ca United States) I've been using this bluetooth for about 6 months, first with a Sanyo 3200 now with a Samsung 8100. With both phones, the headset paired quickly and easily. This is my first bluetooth, so I was pleased with the simplicity of it all. The sound quality is very good, although unless I'm going deaf it's hard to hear at times, and I have to shove the earbud in my ear to hear my caller on the other end. I use the smaller earbud (it comes with two sizes), but it seems slightly too big for my average size ears. It gets in the way when I have sunglasses on, and I have to make sure it stays on. I've also noticed that I now have a small rash on the back of my ear where the headset touches.. not sure if it's attributed by the headset, but my left ear is all clear. Just a heads up - and I only wear it in the car on my commute (total of 1 hour per day). All in all I'm pretty pleased with the headset.
Good for a average user November 28, 2008 Jessie C. Hammond (Brunswick, Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recieved this headset for my anniversary, and for my first headset, this is perfect. I generally only use it when I am driving. I like the fact that it goes both into and over the ear for comfort and stability, but could see how if someone wears this for a long period of time straight it could cause some minor discomfort. There is only one problem that I have experenced. I am using this headset with a LG VX8550 Chocolate2, and for some reason, if my headset is in standby for more than 30 minutes, when I try to make a call, it will continuously switch back and forth from "Audio Transfered to Phone" to "Audio Transfered to Bluetooth". If I turn my headset off and then back on, the problem is solved. Just kinda weird. Other than that, the sound quality on both ends is well above average. I don't generally hear an echo and have yet to be told I am echoing. Battery life is good as well. Using it for about 1.5hrs standby and .5hrs talking a day, I get away with charging the headset once every 3 to 4 days. This is a great first headset for you first time bluetoothers.
