great small digital camera August 27, 2010 Sondrea Evulich The SD800IS is a great small digital camera. It is easy to use and has multiple functions. I primarily use it for underwater photos and am very pleased with the results.
Great deal for the money August 21, 2010 Tom Constantine (Massachusetts) Great picture quality, battery lasts for ever, simple downloading pics. If you are an expert with cameras---this camera takes incredible professional quality pics. Unfortunately, I am not a professional, I take great pics with optimum conditions. A friend who is a professional photographer takes amazing pics in all light conditions. He carries this camera 24/7 next to his cell phone--it is that good.
It takes great pictures. July 22, 2010 William E. Liberatore (Yorkville, Ohio USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this camera for my wife... I'm glad she lets me use it. I'm not going to go into all the bells and whistles listed above... I probably don't even know about all of them... I'll make it simple: It takes great pictures! It's not an SLR... you're not going to get 1080p HD from 600yds away on a dark night.... but give it a fighting chance and it'll get you a good image. It's very small and easy to carry and does it's job admirably. I'd buy it again in a minute!
Great price! May 12, 2010 E. Meyer (Chesterfield, MI) Awesome camera. Too bad they discontinued it. Only camera with wide angle and viewfinder.
I miss using my sd800IS October 19, 2009 Margaret A. Wachowski (Wisconsin, USA) This camera accompanied me on many an adventure. Although advances in megapixel range have been made in recent years since its release, this little camera rendered excellent images with vibrant color and definition. I loved the wide angle and image stablization features. It's size was perfect for my travel needs. Unfortunately, it met a premature demise on a trout stream in Argentina. Although it faithfully captured the image of the fish I caught, it has since had major problems keeping it's battery charge, rendering it unusable. Purchase of a new battery didn't solve the problem.
