Product Description This Stainless Steel Splatter Shield covers cookware to prevent splatters and spills. Large 13-in size fits most common pots and pans.
Amazon.com Review If you've ever ended an inspired cooking session with a big mess across the counters and stove to clean up, you should consider getting a splatter screen. For braising, sautéing, or reducing sauces, Amco's splatter screen really comes in handy, as it keeps the steam rising while keeping bubbles in and splatters under control. This contains the mess and lets you work at the stovetop over an open pan without burning yourself. A sufficient 12 inches in diameter, the screen fits over most pans, and its stainless-steel construction means it won't rust. --Shannon Borg

Every Kitchen Needs One July 19, 2010 homeriliad Every kitchen needs a splatter screen sooner or later. The screen works so well because the screening is so much finer than that of the average splatter screeen. Porus enough to allow water vapor to pass, but fine enough to catch most oil or grease dropplets or splatters. No harder to clean than any other screen.
Splatter Screen May 11, 2010 R. McCown (San Jose, CA) This splatter screen works as well as Cooks Illustrated Magazine said it would. It does an excellent job.
Recommended by a leading cooking magazine March 9, 2010 Pat D. Langille Cook's Illustrated just tested 8 different splatter screens and this is the only one that got the "recommended" rating!
Works fine February 26, 2010 SherBear (Florida) It's a little larger than I was expecting but works fine. Keeps the splatter in the pan.

I have only used this a few times but I like it. It is large enough to cover my large 12-inch pans and is sturdy. I purchased it based on the Cook's Illustrated recommendation.
