Product Description A cut above. J.A. Henckels knife set is highly crafted with quality German stainless steel blades for meticulous cuts and superior performance. Precision stamped and fully guaranteed against defects in material and/or craftsmanship.
Amazon.com Review Henckels's International line offers affordable cutlery from one of the world's most renowned knife manufacturers. The Fine Edge Stylus collection stands out for its ergonomically-contoured stainless-steel handles, giving a kitchen a decidedly modern elegance. This eight-piece set contains the following basics: 3-inch paring knife, 5-inch serrated utility knife, 6-inch utility knife, 8-inch chef's knife, 8-inch bread knife, 8-inch carving knife, 9-inch sharpening steel, and a graphite-painted storage block. Constructed of stamped, high-quality 18/10 stainless steel, the knives feature precision-ground, hand-honed blades that slice meat and chop vegetables with aplomb. While not at the same height of excellence as other Henckels cutlery, the Fine Edge Stylus knives feel well-balanced with a noteworthy heft. All pieces store in the included graphite-painted wood block. Made in China, the cutlery is dishwasher-safe yet best washed and dried by hand immediately after use. A lifetime warranty applies. --Ann Bieri

Bang for the buck January 1, 2009 Eric M. Buryn (Louisville Highlands USA) I received the Stylus set from my wife, who has had a really hard time buying kitchen tools for me in the past. I am an equipment snob and am turned off by the little things. When I saw that these knives were stamped and not forged I was a bit leery but after using them to prepare some holiday meals I am duly impressed. This set was a deal of the day for [...] bucks and at that price I can overlook the possible longevity issues and focus on the razor sharpness and the really great balance. This set is perfect for the weekend warrior chef wannabe. Don't turn your nose up until you've held them. I Love these knives!!!
Professional knives, excelent price! December 13, 2008 K. R. Brownell Love them! Steel blade and handle all one piece and very sharp!! They feel great in your hand. Highly recommend them.
Sharp, sharp, sharp December 6, 2008 B. Goolbis (Stoddard, NH) These knives were as expected. All of my children, who are gourmet cooks, have purchased Henckle knives and always complain about how dull my knives are when they come to my house. Now they can no longer complain. My greatest complaint, however, is how long it is taking me to get used to working with sharp knives - somehow I always manage to get a cut because they are so sharp. It is truly wonderful working with good knives - makes everything much easier to do. This was an excellent choice.
Nice Knife set December 4, 2008 Rob Edwards (Oklahoma) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a nice set of knives. I purchased them for show more than anything. My entire kitchen is stainless steel and I purchased this set to sit on the counter and look good with everthing else. What I found when I started to use them was that they are nice quality and hold an edge. Looks and quality, great combination.
bad Chinese product November 24, 2008 qualityonly (fl,usa) 0 out of 8 found this review helpful
As usual, nothing is good from China. How could J.A. Henckels get dull after a few weeks of use. Just like the pistol in the "Dark Knight" movie. Don't buy them. Spend a little more bugs for real J.A. Henckels (Germany) and true investment.
