Better Photography November 17, 2008 Aleasha Jefferson (Edmond OK) This magazine is well worth the small price, because it is packed with loads of professional training tools that will help one become a better photographer. In addition, there are great reviews, and cliff hangers, such as well written reviews that leave you waiting for more. I appreciate that, since I am taking my time and learning to wield my camera as a tool. It gives me the opportunity to put the information to the test, to actually learn something. I would recommend this magazine to anyone.
Good - but wait! November 12, 2008 George Thomson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you see Shutterbug on a news stand you might think it is a typical photo mag for amateurs. The usual heavy emphasis on product reviews and how to articles. In fact the content is very much biased towards professionals. Lots of stuff beyond the interests and capabilities of the average non-pro photographer. e.g. If you want to submit stuff for their challenges they want prints. However there is a lot of good in it for the rest of us. It is certainly educational. For my money the best part is in the recommendations of web sites of top class photographers. A real source of inspiration.
It's been more than a month, and still hasn't arrived. October 25, 2008 Merilee Buster (Berkeley, CA) Unfortunately, I can't really review the magazine because I still haven't received it. The date they said it would arrive passed 2 wks ago.
good stuff October 9, 2008 Edward N. Plozai great magazine, the latest and greatest on all the new photo stuff for any of us shutterbugs out there.
Love the magazine September 4, 2008 John Alvarez (Tampa, FL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just received my first issue of Shutterbug. Despite the many pages of advertising (some of which is actually informative), I find that the magazine is full of helpful tips, supplemented by products that are relevant to the advice. I look forward to the other issues and if the quality of the magazine endures, so will my subscription to it.
