A Day In The Sun January 6, 2009 P. York (Oviedo, FL United States) Kenny Chesney does it again. Another polished presentation of good pop country music. The Deluxe version of this CD is a good value with the extra tracks from previously released material. This is an enjoyable CD.
Lucky Old Sun Deluxe January 6, 2009 Teresa D. Paul (Raleigh, NC) Almost all of the music on Lucky Old Sun is very mellow and Caribbean inspired. It's great listening after a hard day of work while driving home in traffic. And, as you listen and get to know the words, you realize there are some really beautifully written songs here as well. Of course, in classic Kenny form, there are a couple of good drinking/partying songs, like Two with a Ten and Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven.
Peaceful Pleasure January 4, 2009 Paul S (Portland OR area) No, this isn't plucking Tennessee country. But I find his island themed cd's relaxing and insightful. It seems to be where his soul is, and he's an artist, not a slave to some fans' preferences or his past. I label this album best country cd of the year with Brad Paisley's "Play". Paul
His Best Yet... December 16, 2008 L. Foster (New York) This latest "Lucky Old Sun" is fantastic. I loved Poets and Pirates, but you can tell that this latestCD was truly written from the heart. It has a couple upbeat tunes to laugh at and enjoy, but most is just "warm and fuzzy".. The words to his songs really hit home more times than not, and it's just an enjoyable piece of work by Kenny. Can't wait for the next.
Lucky Ole Sun by Kenny Chesney December 16, 2008 Susan M. Glass (Grover Beach, CA) One of Kenny's best albums. He gets better every year. Wonderful lyrics and music. Great collaborations too. Love it!!
