HEY WHERE IS MY AC ADAPTER WIRE?? IT'S MISSING! July 26, 2010 Claudette I bought two and received them today, and they are both missing the wire that goes from the AC adapter block to the wall. It's one of those oblong oval plugs with two holes in it and a notch on the outer plastic.
So I went to my closet and found a similar wire for an old radio I had, and I had to shave the outside of the plastic to the wire to make it fit, what a disaster. Now I need to find a second wire to doctor up because the other one is missing the wire too!
but, once it was working my initial opinion is this little printer is awesome. It took me all of 60 seconds to get it up and running and to get my blackberry to connect via bluetooth and print a picture.
Amazing. It's very small, much smaller than I had thought. It is about 4.5 x 2.75" on the face and the height is about .8 inches. The pictures print very very quickly, considering. I purchased two so that I have can two working at my wedding printing out pictures for guests to paste into my guestbook with a nice message!!
I'm on the phone now with polaroid and they are going to send me cords once they verify my receipt. yay.
PoGo is awesome! July 13, 2010 T. Owens (Washington, USA) I use this printer to print out photos for my journal. It does exactly what I want it to do and is quick and easy to use. When I showed my friends, they all wanted to get one. It doesn't have a lot of options but for a decent picture printed out quickly it is perfect and because it is a sticker it goes in my journal right away.
Use it if you have to July 11, 2010 Jessila (USA) We bought a Polaroid Camera and this Printer in order to do a picture guest book at our Wedding, however that did not work very well as the pictures take for-ev-er to print. For my brother's wedding we just used a regular printer and printed 6 pics per 4x6 page, and that printed faster than one mini Polaroid Printer pic. The Polaroid Printer, though easier to transport, needs a plug-in like a regular printer and is just as noisy as a normal printer. It also took us a few minutes longer to figure out, but once you know how to do it, it is easy. I would not recommend this printer due to its not-so-instantness and none super mobileness.
Super Cool and Fun with Many Uses June 30, 2010 K. Groh (Pennsylvania) I purchased this for a client that runs a local summer camp. The intent was to takes pictures of the campers using the Polaroid t1031 10.0 MP Digital Still Camera with 3.0 LCD Display (Orange). The photos would then go into a pocket camp guide for each camper. This is exactly what we needed.
The prints are small enough to fit in our pocket guide and with a sticky back, eliminate one more step to getting the pictures into the guides.
I can see many uses for this, quick ID's for camps, field trips, seminars, etc. The pictures are not perfect but they are instant and that makes them perfect for what we needed.
The printer is small and awfully cute. The paper loads 10 sheets at a time (with the blue load sheet on the bottom so that is comes out before any pictures).
The best thing is that there is no ink necessary. The picture prints (it takes almost a minute) and after 10 prints, all you need to do is load more paper. There are no other supplies necessary.
I attached the Polaroid camera and it immediately went into a menu asking me what I needed to do. Print was an option. Then I could select all the pictures or specific ones and print one copy or multiple copies. It was really easy. You can even hook up your cell phone and print from that.
I really like the whole idea of this. It is not perfect, the pictures lack some depth and clarity but they have so many applications and the printer is a great price. But it's not meant to be perfect. It is a low cost way of printing small, instant pictures.
A great gift idea for a child or teen or an organization that may need identification photos.
HORRIBLE DEVICE, Does not work with Iphone or droids June 30, 2010 Daniel Durham (Indiana, United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
just got it in yesterday. great idea of a device but doesn't work with anything but dumby phones, and when it does it difficult to connect. Does NOT work with Iphone 3gs, 4 or moto droid, htc droid eris, or nexus one. it does not say that anywhere either. I called polaroid and they weren't helpful at all. told me to call the phone maker, heck i even tried a cannon powershot and couldn't get it to work. so i called back, said they didn't have information on that camera. I'd never owned anything polaroid before, nor will i again.
