Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
Keep frequently used garden trowels and clippers accessible by stowing such tools in this convenient 50-gallon deck box from Suncast. The deck box provides 6.8 cubic feet of storage on a household patio or deck, creating a handy spot to conceal the typical yard clutter of miscellaneous tools, toys, dirty soccer cleats or gardening clogs and other outdoor fare. In addition to the storing space, the deck box also blends into decor with ease.

Suncast crafted the deck box in UV-resistant poly resin for stability and durability. The lid flips open on a rustproof hinge for quick entry. To keep contents dry, rainwater funnels off the lid by careful design. Made in the USA, the deck box does require assembly upon purchase. The sides and parts of the box snap together and necessitate minimal use of tools. The deck box is intended solely for storage purposes and should not be used for play or sitting. Keep the deck box away from heat sources to prevent fire. The deck box is covered by a five-year limited warranty. The box measures 41 by 21 by 22 inches and weighs 28 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

5 out of 5 stars Perfect as a horsetack box   October 26, 2008
Horsegal JPJ (New York, USA)
The product took my husband about 20 seconds to put together with only his hands. Lightweight yet sturdy, and perfect in the barn for use as a roomy tack box.

4 out of 5 stars BIG storage   October 15, 2008
T. Schott (Salem, MO, USA)
Extremely easy to assemble. Just a couple of minutes and you're done. Just make sure to place it on level ground or lid doesn't sit perfectly. We have ours in courtyard on paving stones which have shifted a little, so we use padlock to keep lid straight. Contents have stayed dry even through our last torrential rain. Have only had it a month, but am pleased so far. Good product @ decent price, I believe--VALUE!!!

4 out of 5 stars Great deck storage   October 1, 2008

This is exactly what I was looking for to use as deck storage. It holds all of my deck chair cushions and a few baskets that we use to hold towels for our hot tub needs and more. Its watertight and insect proof so far and it also has a neat little flip top storage compartment that we sue to keep the kids goggles in for our hot tub. Its bigger than I thought and while the color is boring beige (I would have preferred gray) I am very pleased. Its a great buy and I recommend it 100%!

3 out of 5 stars Don't open when lid is wet!   September 23, 2008

I almost didn't order this because the description said "no tools" and I didn't think it would be very sturdy. It is quite sturdy when assembled with the enclosed hardware however and is very roomy. All that is needed is a screwdriver and a couple of wrenches. The pieces fit together quite well although the lid latch does not. It appears to be tight enough to keep mice and rain out, but I am considering caulking the seams to be sure. Do not open this box with water pooled on the lid! It will go immediatly into the tray along the top back and the rest into the box. The assembly instructions were good.
