Adequate January 8, 2009 Fred (Calif) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
My problems with this: - NO LIVE VIEW, AND IT DIDN'T MENTION IT ANYWHERE PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE. - The auto modes do not compensate for when taking a pic from a moving vehicle and so you end up with blurred pictures. If you use the manual mode you can eventually set the speed right to take much better pictures. - NO LIVE VIEW. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. - The menu could be a little more intuitive. - NO LIVE VIEW. I HATE THAT.
Nice powerfull camera January 6, 2009 Victor Plata Mazzotti (Saltillo, Coahuila Mexico) The camera arrived on time and in good shape, It is a very good quality camera, takes excellent pictures.
Best gift I ever got December 30, 2008 Picky Shopper (Seattle, WA) Total novice mom is taking professional quality pictures of child. AMAZINGLY EASY...auto settings are great...can't wait til I really dig in and learn about all the fancy stuff and manual settings. I am a point and clicker....this is AMAZING. Great for beginners and I am sure that well experienced photogs would enjoy. Took this to Disneyland and their professional photogs that take your picture throughout the park said that was the kind of camera she was going to buy after having tried mine. DAMN>>>it feels good in your hand.
Nikon is just fabulous December 28, 2008 Jovin 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is my 3rd Camera. My first one was a Nikon Coolpix 4200 and then the Nikon L series and both of them were excellent camera. I have been wanting to buy a DSLR camera since a very long time and finally settled in for the Nikon D60. The product continues to amaze me. Its a very good entry level camera, good sturdy body, the auto lense cleaning meachanism is awesome. Pictures are just swesome if taken using the correct setting. Auto mode work just great for anybody. The futher advanced folks might wanna play around with the PSAM modes. I am a happy boy and love my new toy! Nikon is just awesome, overall its a GREAT camera, great product. I would certainly recommend this camera if you are looking for a sturdy, feature packed, great quality picture producing DSLR.
Great Little Camera! December 28, 2008 Marney E. Mason (Galveston, Texas United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought a D-50. I positively loved it. Nice and small, Convienient to use, Light weight. Takes excellent pictures. My wife comandeered it! Finally, after two years, I wised up. I bought her the D-60 and I get the D-50! The D-60 is everything the D-50 is and smaller, lighter, quieter and more megapixels! I love the VR Lenses. The image quality is excellent. She shoots mainly nature photographs and the 70-300mm VR does a fantastic job "wing shooting" passing birds. (See user "photophun" at eyefetch for examples). I had to give it to her before Christmas so she could test it out on our Christmas cruise. It passed the test with flying colors, giving great images of Mexico, a hand held moon shot from the deck of a moving ship, frigate birds (but NO flying fish!) Excellent grab and go kind of camera. Typical outstanding Nikon image quality and Optics. I am looking for an excuse to buy one for ME!
