Amazon.com Product Description Strengthen your back, biceps, and other upper body muscles in the comfort of your living room or dorm with the Iron Gym workout bar. Designed to fit conveniently in most doorway frames or sit on the floor for pushups, dips, and sit-ups, the Iron Gym is an ideal choice for people who want to get fit without buying expensive, space-intensive weight sets. Very Solid Pull Up Bar November 20, 2008 Scott Entwistle (University Park, MD) Does exactly as advertised, and is very solidly built. After a couple of days of slight hesitation thinking it wouldn't be able to handle my weight, I bang out pull ups like it was wall mounted at the gym. Incredibly useful and necessary in any home gym, or traveling gym. Extremely portable, I bring it in my car when going back and forth from college and home, and all I do is slap it on the door at home and continue my daily workouts. The best [...] I've spent in a long time. If you're looking for a portable door frame pull up bar, this one is very solid/stable, well priced, and will help you get that great workout.
Really good for apartments November 17, 2008 Allessa (Seattle) I needed a gym bar that could be installed without damaging a rented apartment. And this one is really great. It takes just a couple of seconds to put it on and then take of. No instruments necessary.
Small defect November 17, 2008 N. Vuong It shipped reasonably fast to me. There was a small defect, there was no left handle. I got a duplicate handle that wouldn't fit together. I'm sure that it's the manufacturer's fault. Rather than having to go through the trouble of getting them to ship me a new one and wait for the thing, I just took one of the duplicates and flipped the ends. The standard rods fit together pretty well. There's no need for a lock screw at the center if you do this. Other than having to modify the product so that it would work, I have no issues with it. It works great and the price was pretty cheap.
Normal Size Door November 17, 2008 G. Washington (Belleville, IL) The Iron gym didn't work in my older home. My door way is larger that the iron gym allows. Disappointingly, but it is used for pushup. Lee
He loves it. November 17, 2008 Barbara Brown (Ohio) I purchase this for my nephew at his request. He uses it everynight. When my adult son saw it, he asked for one for his birthday. I got it too. Another perfect choice. Thanks,
